    Hello,
I am getting sick of seeing great bargains on play.com only to discover that they will not ship them to Ireland as they fall into the category of electronics or gadgets, surely others must feel the same, we should all petition their site with a big email yoke and try to get something done, it is hard to believe that they would not benefit from shipping here.

    Hello to you too,

Although I don't shop there, I'd say if enough people were to email or preferably sit down and right a letter and post it, it would get more attention, rather than a big email YOKE... That's too easy and their spam server would probably junk alll the emails anyway.

tbh, theres better things one can spend their energy petitioning for.
Ie- end of poverty, more money for Aids research, bringing back the old style tangle twisters, and stopping the USA occupation of Iraq.

Petition the government. They won't ship to Ireland cause they roast them for tax, meaning their prices can't be as low.

It's a good point. There is also distribution deals that don't allow them to ship here. It's not like play are refusing the business by pure choice. The shipping costs and deals they have might also make it not worth it. OP you need to find out why they aren't shipping here and how much it would cost before you start complaining.

    eg.

UK Price to Ireland= (UK price minus tax+add Irish tax)*conversion rate+((shipping)*conversion)

    £100 =(((£100/1.175)*1.21)* 1.5)+ ((20)*1.5)

    £100=€154.47+€30=€184.47

Sometimes they charge a higher conversion rate and shipping can be a lot more to Ireland. Are the savings that great? Alot of the time they aren't actually that good at all.

Complete waste of time. I'd rather petition for something where you can actually make a difference, like the play.com petition - where do I sign?
