Unbelievably corrupt scumbag dictator dies. Even by the standards of royalty, this guy was a venal little turd of a man. BBC apparently publishing only readers comments that are sycophantic tripe.
King Fahd was a man of great vision and leadership who inspired his countrymen for a quarter of a century as king, and for many more before that. - Tony Blair

Saudi Arabia currently languishing at 140th in Nationmaster.com democratic institutions list, just trailing totally insane North Korea. How much more screwed up can the place get.

Not to mention that he has invested trillions of oil money in the USA and practically owns/owned the place while at the same time not doing anything about al-quaeda in Saudi (very high level of support for them there) which is wanting/trying to blow the place up.........

I thought he was very anti corruption. And a friend of the west. Also allowed the Us in help in the Kwuait war etc. Then again, I don't much about it. Only going on what I saw on the news this morning.

Saudi Arabia is run by, and for the sole benefit of, the royal family.

I have sigs turned off, cause they are annoying. It's a royal Family. They OWN the country.
