Cheap travel insurance for over 31 day trip?

Usually I buy travel insurance through getcover.com, who are reasonable (€40 for annual multi-trip insurance if you have VHI for example).

However, this only covers trips under 31 days. I checked for a single trip over 31 days, and they quoted €140!

Does anyone know of anywhere that would offer cheap travel insurance for that kind of trip?

what about VHI multi-trip. I just paid €96 for family of 4 for 1 year

I got a great deal from my local credit union this year - just €75 for the family for a full year, including cover for USA. I can't remember what the maximum trip duration was. Check with your local CU, and it might well be worth opening an account with a fiver if you're not already a member.
