Can anyone recommend some one that can do travel insurance for a person with diabetes (type 2)? All the regular companies only want healthy people :(

    Lo-call 1850 909 909, e-mail info@diabetes.ie or contact ERM direct on 01 845 4361.

    I swear by ERM!

No idea its not a product I've taken out (I use them for Motor insurance) but a phone call will soon tell esp if they are the "only game in town".

I have got insurance with a few of the major companies and never had a problem (I have type 1). They sometimes ask for a letter from your diabetes consultant to say you are in good health but thats it, try phoning around a few of them.

I have VHI travel insurance now and they didnt want anything about my diabetes. I phoned them to tell them when i was buying the insurance and they said they didn't need to know about it.
