Greetings, chanced on this site when checking out Sunyata Centre in East Clare. Contrary to rumour, Sunyata is up and running as a Retreat Centre with resident teacher from Amaravati Monastry in England ( Thai Forrest Tradition, theravadean). Stan and Claire have given the steering committee time to fundraise to buy the Centre, so the extensive program of events, weekends, visiting teachers, etc is well worth suppoting by attending...the main source of income for the Centre. tel. 061 367073 for brochure. Beautiful dedicated Meditation Hall holds an incredible silence and enhances all practices and traditions! ( I started with Zen 30 yrs ago, follow Thich Nat Hahns mindfulness teachings, and over the past 3 yrs Vispassana through teh Sunyata programme).
