Ok, new to the world of creating DVD's. Basically I have a movie in the form of an iso file and I was just wondering if there is anything I need to do with it before burning it to DVD so I can watch it on a regular DVD player.

    Any suggestions guys?

    Google DaemonTools.

install it.. mount the ISO file using that software.. and it will come up as a drive in My Computer...

    great little tool...

An ISO is basically the entire contents of a disk ripped to a single file... an image.
Be carefull not to write the ISO file iteself onto the disk... you need to open the ISO in a cd burning app and burn it.
Or use a program like Isobuster to extract the files from it.

Sweet. I used Nero ImageDrive and was able to open it and watch it no problems I presume the functions are in Nero to be able to burn it to disc...? What file type should it be burning as?

You burn the image, which then takes on what ever form it was when the image was burned, i.e. movie or data. Nero doesn't care what it was, only that it was an image.

Windows XP has the ability to burn ISOs built in. But you need a tool to active it (I forget the name but you can google for it).

You should get a free program called DVD Decrypter, it will burn the ISO but it will also strip the region, CSS encoding and macrovision.
