    Hey all....my best friend is looking to buy her boyfriend an amp for his bass...only problem is, seen as it's gonna be a surprise, we have no idea whats best to get??

    She mentioned a Fender amp...my bro plays electric and knows good amps but isnt sure if there's a difference for bass guitars....??? :confused:

    Any tips u can give us, type, size, cost, place to buy etc,

    All I know is that it's gotta b bigger that bout 2/2.5 feet in height and prob 60watt plus....I'd assume wattage will depend on physical size....?? :rolleyes:

    i would recommend a trace elliot but they are a bit pricy,or maybe an ashdown amp which is a make off trace elliot.

    I would recommend Ashdown but it all really depends on how much she wants to spend. The MAG series of Ashdown are relatively affordable and are quite good but they may be more (or even less) then she's willing to spend.

    Trace Elliot is hard to find now in Dublin and personally I'd go with Ashdown over TE.
