Just plugged in an external USB drive and it was recognized by my computer (OS is Win 2000 SP 4).
However, it does not show up on the list of drives when I double click My Computer.
It does show up under device manager and shows it is working fine.
    Driver is the latest.
Why can't I see it when in My Computer/Windows Explorer  ?

Try what i said anyways. In device manager go to properties of it and tick Removable Drive if unticked. Don't know if it will help or not but worth a shot

Yeah, but thought of that - it would automatically go to drive F: (my first free drive yeah?) and my first mapped drive is P:
And its not the port because another USB device works fine!
