A degree in 'Getting started on your Ma'...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 314 ✭✭gregos

Hi RG. I didn't understand for a while but now I think I have the answer. You're about 17: is that it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,985 ✭✭✭✭zAbbo

A degree in 'Getting started on your Ma'...
Except what it says is 'Get started on your MA Degree in Rural Development'

Would have been slightly funny if

    1. MA wasn't a well known abbriviation of MASTERS, especially in the context its in.

    2. If this wasn't followed by 'Rural Development'

But sure knock yourself out with that

If you want to be so nitpicky, it is actually an acronym standing for Master of Arts: a master's degree in arts/sciences.

I think a degree in 'pastry technology*' is more suited in my opinion

    *actually exists

Hi RG. The expression is "nitpicking": a little more reading perhaps. Could you confirm if you're 17? BTW a master's degree in sciences would be an MSc.

    i like degrees.

A degree in 'Getting started on your Ma'...

It was so much funnier when you tried to explain the joke. Only for the wrong reasons.

    The expression is "nitpicking":
It was a made-up word, I use them a lot!
    No, I'm not 17, why?

The college I work for runs a course in 'Being Left Handed'

    No joke.. for real...

I'm not sure if the course is for helping left handed people to cope in a right handed persons world..... or if it's for right handed people who want to try their hand (as it were) at being left handed...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,487 ✭✭✭Kevin_rc_ie

hey that's cool. i've left handed and i hate the monopoly of the right hadned people on campus equipment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,216 ✭✭✭✭monkeyfudge

I'd go and find out what is all about from the person delivering the course except for the fact that I'd be hugely dissapointed if they turned out not to be Ned Flanders.

I love these threads, great for people such as NotMe,gregos and Femmy to post anything they possibly can to up their postcount, rock on!

I'd like to do a degree in being left-handed. Which, of course, would mean being right-brained. Jesus, I hope the college you work for doesn't have a medical faculty.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,487 ✭✭✭Kevin_rc_ie

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 314 ✭✭gregos

I didn't call him a poof. I just asked him to explain his comment.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,487 ✭✭✭Kevin_rc_ie
