Got a decent enough 17' Targus bag in PC world liffey valley for €70, fits Xps 2 well and lots of room in the front compartment for the power brick.
It's plain black and as dull as dishwater, I wanted a plain one,
so as not to attract the attention of industrial strength magpies :)

Get something like this - http://www.laptopshop.co.uk/tec_air-tigra-laptop_case-1-cc2.htm

I've one similar and looks fairly trendy and protects the laptop, also doesn't look like you've 2grand worth of laptop inside.

I've got a red Quiksilver laptop backpack, cost 65 euro in the bag shop in Liffey Street. It's a great size and protects my laptop well... and again, doesn't look like a laptop bag. Important when you live in Dublin 24 :p

I've got one of them as well. It's a heavy bag when empty, but for a 15.4" Dell 8600 it's perfect. You won't fit anything bigger in there, but it is about as good protection as you'll get this side of a flightcase.

    Have a look here
    http://www.booqbags.com/index.html

They do nice stylish bags and sleeves. I've their vyper sleeve and it's great. Can just slip my laptop into it and put it into whichever bag I happen to be taking with me!

    Hi Roastie,

Yeah, they ship to Ireland. They have a EU site, think the link is in the top right of their site. You can then select Ireland from a drop down list when you are ordering.

I've a Samsung X50, and the vyper I have fits very good. Width and length are perfect and there is some room for inserting documents and notes with the laptop (X50 is very slim)

Have a look in argos. I got a seriously padded jansport one in there for 60 or 70, cant remember. Loads of room, and looks like a rucksack instead of a laptop bag.
