Care to be a little more specfic? What size in terms of memory do you want? Do you have a credit card for internet purchases...

    If you're still looking for a mp3.. Take a look at Sony's Nw407..

Go to sony.ie.. then go to sonystyle.. It's about 150..
It has a screen.. Sound is better than shuffle too.. Especially if you use it with the ex71 headphone..

    Check it out..

loads of cheap no-name players available on ebay, many of which double as a usb key (ie no cable required)

Dixons, much as I hate the place, behind the counter on the bottom shelf (almost hidden usually) sell end of line mp3 players look for the yellow *managers discount* stickers, and make them an offer, dont just go with what the sticker says, these either sell or are binned (stolen by staff)

A slightly odd suggestion but there is this "mp3 player" which instead of having built in memory uses an sd/mmc card instaed. So if you happen to have a camera sd card of any size you can use that. Good price if you already have an sd card. I don't know about quality of playback or anything though.

Theres quite a few mp3 players on which might be worth a look.

Oh and throwing my hat into the ring here I would go iriver over all as they are the best :) Never a complaint with an iriver so far.
