Yeah. Be prepared. Better looking prepared than being caught unaware - I have an interview myself on Thursday - gonna bring a few copies of my cv and a few copies of my references... just incase...

not much need for the references, most employers will speak to the referees named on your CV over the phone.

I didn't think so myself - but most of the job-hunting sites seem to be fairly unanimous on it, so it's no harm. Better to be overprepared than underprepared my man.

Bring your CV with you if you want or even some notes that you want to have.

I had an interview recently, the day before it , a friend sat down with me. He knows a fair bit about interview techniques and it really helped.
First he did a mock interview for a few minutes. he said i came across as nervous even though i didn't feel that way. It was because i had no practice and wasn't sure what i wanted to say.

We then talked about my previous work experience and how it could potentially apply to the job i was applying for. We sorted this out and i wrote down a short paragraph on it. So when i was asked about my previous experience I had it almost off by heart and never stuttered my way through.

We took a few different points like, work experience, college, thoughts on the company(how i would change it),my strong & weak points etc.

I wrote a few sentences on each and brought it into the interview. I didn't need them in the end.

Had been unsure about bringing them but my mates point of view was that it shows that you spent some time preparing for the interview and you want the job. First impressions!

I just got a new job.

Something I tried as an experiment -

    I came very prepared.

I had a copy of my CV and a presentation with me.

The presentation was basically some notes on what I'd like to bring to the company (my ideas etc.) and things I'd like to improve.

    They ****ING LOVED IT!!

So yes, bring as much stuff with you as possible.
