Internet Connection Sharing?

I've got a network at home and i'm trying to share a dialup connection using internet connection sharing. The computer the connection comes into is running Windows 2000 professional. I had it working beautifully before but recently i had a virus (the shellot worm) and it won't work any more. When I try to enable ICS it tells me it cannot enable shared access - error 761.

Has this happened to anyone else before? How did you fix it?

I've tried repairig windows using my installation disk, but that didn't change anything. I'm considering reinstalling Windows - has anyone got any helpful advice here?

    Any other completely different ideas?

    Thanks....

Sorry if this should be in one of the networking forums.... think its really a Windows question but i'm not quite sure.

Did you try Google? At a glance, most of the results are related to DUN error codes. Maybe you can find some help there.

run services.msc and see if Internet Connection Sharing is running, maybe the process is just disabled
