Keyboard Problem

K in a program that is being used where i work the TAB key moves you between fields and accepts what has been typed into the field. The NUMBER PAD enter does the same.e.g type a product number into a field and press tab and this product appears.

If however you don't know the product code you can type the name of the product and press the CENTER ENTER button and this will perform a search. This works on all of the pc's and laptops correctly except today on one of the Compaq laptops when pressing the Center enter button it behaves as if it was the TAB or numberpad enter.

It is really important that i can get the Center enter working. I've already tried changing the keyboard language in the control panel and trying to turn numlock on and off and scroll lock and using the FN key on the laptop.NOTHING seems to work.I also checked, both the center enter and the number pad enter seem to generate the same ansi code (13),anyone have any idea of anything I could try because it is a pretty important piece of functionality in all areas of the system.
    cheers

Check the regional settings (in control panel) of a computer that is working properly. See what way the keyboard is set-up, e.g. English (Ireland).
Then check this against the computer that is causing you the problem.
