QQ pre-flop

My fastest ever exit from the 270 game... :(

I had literally JUST sat down, first hand, 2nd to act.
Under the gun Raises to 200, I immediatly think AK/AQ/JJ/TT for some reason thinking it was a bit of an overraise.
    I look down at QQ.
I think I will just call here and see what flops.
No other callers, flop is 662.
He bets 200, I raise to 1000, and he pushes.
Without even thinking about it I call instantly, and am staring at Kings...
€270 in 2 mins and a puff of smoke.
    FFS!
    When will I ever learn.

I have had QQ in the first hand 3 times now in 100+ buy in tournies, first time I did my entire stack to slowplayed AA, and the second time I laid them down pre-flop to an all-in Reraise convinced I was up against Aces again, and I was right. I thought I had learned....damn.

BUT it is SO hard to lay down QQ first hand...I should have RR pre-flop and laid it down to a push...but I would still have done all my money if he had flat called me pre, and then pushed on the flop.

The only consolation was I got into the first Round of each game, which was GREAT, and managed to get my 270 back, and fund my Sunday buy-in as well.

The question is... QQ pre-flop, how easy is it to lay down....?

Yeh that was shane that beat you, I was in the table next to you. Unlucky. Normally I would play Queens aggressively, but once he pushed did you never think that you could be beat?

You were behind aces, kings, A6, 66, 22 : he could have been holding any of these. He raised it 4BB so any of the any of the above hands could be possible.

You played it well up until he pushed. You only had 1,200 out of 5K staked so you weren't really pot committed. Although it was a tough laydown you should have stopped and thought about what you WERE ahead of.

Unlucky all the same, its never nice going out on the first hand!

haha just got dealt QQ there on PPP! board came KJK 10

I had a straight draw, royal flush draw, etc. went all in

    beaten by Q 9 in a $100 pot...............go figure
