ok, i put on fake tan last night, and i woke up this morning with a rash. From your experience, should i try to scrub of the fake tan, or will the rash go away itself??

I have no experience, but I would imagine you should go to the chemist and take some anti-histemines

this is why your suppose to try out tans on a small piece of skin first!

is the rash everywhere or just on your legs

Ended up in hospital due to a faketan..professionally applied. was one of the worst things that ever happened to me and i still have side affects. I know for sure ill never be putting any chemicals that are in fake tan on me again.

Had a hideous reaction to bronze express two weeks ago, it's not my usual tan but i was stuck as had run out of my usual rockstar. bad rash all over my chest stomach face neck and arms, oddly not on my legs. Took piriton, hc45 and various creams and it took a week to clear. I subsequently heard that bronze express had a crazy amount of alcohol in it. Never using it again!!

I feel your pain!!! I'm a Beauty Therapist and spray people regularly, unfortunately I react to most spray Tans. It's so sore and itchy but nothing you can do but just wait for it to pass.. (over a week for the itch and two for the sores) An antihistamine might ease the itch and calamine lotion.

Some people are allergic to dihydroxyacetone others to the amounts of alcohol. I can't use St Tropez , Fake Bake, IT, SunFX, even on customers as the little spray back sets me off..mad.gif

Next time you want a spray Tan get a patch test on the inside of your arm 24 hours before.

    Hope you feel better soon..

I'm allergic to St.Tropez. When I used it before I just showered with plain water don't put any soaps or shower gel near the effected areas. You could try e45 or elave was if you really wanted to use something and get an anti histamine cream in the pharmacy it'll help with the itch and any redness you might have. Best of luck
