Question- Whats the best way to deal with the EX

The following is just irrelevent dribble, if you dont like long posts skip the italics

you know the drill, you're in the pub or night club and you meet an ex. Though I generally try to end relationships on good terms a friend really screwed me over with this one girl and ever since things have been really awkward. We wouldnt look at each other or talk, though she did make a point of showing off her latest boyfriend when Id be around.

Anyway, a lot of time has passed and I couldnt care less about her or how we ended, but the last week me and a friend were on the pull and he wanted to try it with her. I thought of what would happen if he scored and just put the foot down, no way in hell am I goin over to dance with them (her friends DISPISE me).

Anyway thats just backround, the actual question relates to another girl, basically I tried my luck, came close but no success. Ok, no big deal, I dont actually care and am not going to try again; no means no etc. But this poor girl now gets awkward around me and I think feels guilty about being with ppl when she sees me in the same pub/club.

I dont want this, is there someway to fix this before it actually does become an issue (shes a friend of a friend so it kinda matters). And if there were somethig I should do about the one whos actually an ex, that aswel

Just don't worry about it, I have the unfortunate problem of having a mutual friend with my ex, and it was her birthday recently, so of course, we were both there, but he was with his new girlfirend. Rather than make her feel uncomfortable, he thought it better to forget about the four year history we had and ignore me, even when I was told my sister had her baby when sitting in the pub, he felt the need to not even congratulate me...
Now I wasn't in the slightest bit bothered, but my friend was and it caused awful tension.
Civility is all that is required, exchange pleasantries, there is no need to be best friends again, but then I think avoidance is really childish.

As for the other girl who feels awkward, that will heal with time, show that you're not hung up on her by just chatting away like you would normally, try not to put her in a situation where it's just the two of you, cause she might think you are trying to come onto her again, but just don't bother trying to tell her that you're over her, cause it'll sound all wrong, no matter what way you say it.
well, that's what I think anyway!
