Just got back from it there, head is fcuking wrecked.

Had a terrible start to the tourney, playing only 2 hands in the first 2 hours before the break. card dead doesn't even describe it. lost about 2,000 when my AK ran into AJ when he flopped a jack. Was sitting on around 2,400 at the break.

After the break I started seeing some cards and played them well. Was motoring along nicely and soon built up a stack of around 20K through some of the great calls. I was really at the top of my game tonight.

Down to five tables and I get 55 in mid position. No raises so I just call and see a flop. Flop comes 10 3 5, and I hear raise and all in ahead of me. I of course call but add 'I think I'm beat' because I had a feeling she had the 10s. Of course she did and Im down to 10K.

Feeling slighly pissed off at having the second nuts off the flop beaten by the nuts, i tried to calm down and not go on tilt. I play tight until its my BB and I pick up jacks. Few limpers (blinds 500/1000) so when it gets round to me I raise another 3,000. Folded around to Joe O'Neill who pushes all in for 9,000. Now im faced with my decision. with around 16,000 already in the pot and only 6,000 left in my stack im thinking i have to call. But I dont want to throw my chips away so I wait and try and pick up a tell on him. he didnt seem too comfortable and finally announced 'ive got a big pair...'. i then pushed thinking I must be ahead. When I called I said you might be winning...

He turned over 10 10, and of course hit a 10 on the flop. I got out of my chair and walked straight out. I think I had a few hundred left in chips but my head was too wrecked to stay there. From 20K to nothing and I was playing the best poker I could play.

Jesus it just wrecks my head when I play on top of my game and just lose to hands like that

motoring along above average... until joe sat down to my right.. SB vs BB, he slow played the boots very well..

a couple of races later and eventually my luck runs out 4 off the money.. TT failed to stand up against AT

a couple of the lads are still left..

Made the money! Woohoo! Oh yeah! :D

    oops...

I mean hard luck guys. Actually it's ten to four now and without tripling up every 20 mins then I was in serious trouble. Played well, no great hands, except for aces twice before the first break which didnt pay and kings just outside the money which got cracked and almost busted me.

so, 15th. Never got above 10 thousand until the last 3 tables, then I never got above 20 thousand. Happy with my game, did the best I could, enjoyed the company, Scott Gray was in top form.

May give the cards a miss till Sunday, it's looking a bit expensive, I'll see how I feel tomorrow.

    anyhoo, see y'all soon, d.

nice one des.. ul with kk, but u did well to comeback.. no thanks to me.

i got a feeling this could be an expensive weekend...

    cheers chief,

might see u tomorrow if I can stay off the beer. delighted to say that the two lads who were soft playing the freeroll and refused to do a deal when we were down to 3 got nothing for their troubles, except my undying enmity of course. almost makes dealing in the freeroll worthwhile. almost.

i think i finished 22nd, just outside the money

can't really say I deserved to make it either

was absolutely jaded and misplayed a lot of hands

even still, with about 35k and 26 left I was a bit disappointed not to scrape into the money

AQ was the hand that ruined me once again. Every single tournament, that hand. Even the freerolls

I just know I'm gonna start having nightmares about AQ now.

got 6th 1300 had a huge stack goning into final 3 tables 70k made a few mistakes trying to steal and doubled marq up and lost a race got knocked down to 30k. ramin and jammin got me to the final table down to 6 players on my bb 6k marq raised all in. i called the extra 30k with K8o though it was the right move at the time he had A7o. blinds were going up to 8-4k.
not sure about my move now though.
what do you lads think try not to be to harsh :D

Worst call I have ever seen.

Dragon raised on button to 500, blinds 50/100. Two callers.
    Flop xxQ
Checked to Dragon, he bets 1000 (1/3 of his stack)
    One folds. One caller
    Turn Q.
    Dragon bets 1000
    River 9
Caller makes a stringy 3000 bet, ruled as 1000 and puts Dragon all-in.
    Dragon calls. Shows trip Q.

Caller has called him down to the river on a Q high flop with 99 to river a house. In a 250 game.

    Ughhhhhhh.

interesting report Rich. so Dave isn't that brutal after all.

dederaco, dave as well isn't it, u were playing well on the 4th last table, hitting cards and making moves, well done,

so anyone know who and what got for the last 6? (grammar me not know)

Well done Des, DeDarco & Marq!!

Unlucky BigD - you suckered in the calls very well just a shame about the river.

Personally I lay down k8o DeDarco in the bb. Marq was robbing but he's still very likely to be ahead. I'd minimum expect to see K9s unless he was the button ;) But then again you were at the table so maybe there was a whole lot of thievery going on. I think I'd prefer to go all-in MP for 27k with any two cards then call a MP all-in raiser with K8o for 30k though - it was still 6 handed after all.

I went out just short of 1 am. Was at Des's table, have to say Des haven't played against you much thought you played very well. Liked that raise on the river when you missed your flush draw, classy.

I struggled to make an impact all night. Was down to 6400 when blinds were 400/800. I had AJ on the button. No limpers and the cutoff (11,000 ish) makes it 2000. He could have a big range of hands to be robbing the blinds so I move all in. Back to him and he takes a while and calls with 88. 8 on the flop ends my night.

It seems to be a recurring theme for me in tourneys lately. If I get under 10 BB's I'm looking for a spot to get them in. Seemed like a decent oppertunity to double up. I try to avoid 50/50's as much as possible but it seems to always come down to a coinflip. People just keep calling me with mid pairs and winning, it's sending me insane.

If I'm in his spot I'm folding because he knows the best he was getting is 50/50 and was happy with that(said, "Hope you have AK"). He had enough to fold and it was 4400 back to him.

Lately I've been on a terrible run in coinflips, I'd say I've lost about 85% of them so I've adapted by flat calling then pushing and it working well. However I felt his range was so big in the cutoff it was better not to give him 3 free cards. Then again maybe I should have went into super rock mode and just folded. Never thought I'd say this but I'm enjoying cash games way more than tourneys at the moment.

With the blinds already in the pot pushing there is a very ptofitable move for you since there is also a good percentage of the time he will fold. I would rather have the balls to play the hand correctly like you did than blind off like a wimp OR be silly enough to call reraises in "coinflip at best " situations. His call was really really weak IMO.

Thanks Dave, I didn't think he had the king and he didn't seem happy to see my call so quickly on the turn so I just bet as confidently as I could and sphinctered up. Thats a hand I can't play online btw. It never works for me, i simply cant get the info. As a way to make a profit, online just isnt hitting for me.

Your hand was ideal, i got lucky in most of my dozen fifty fifties i played last night.

Now, can anyone tell me, who got friggin what on the final table.

The hand I went out on I honestly thought I was safe with. One off the button, ace jack of hearts, all in, not wanting or expecting a call, walk into queens on the bb, game over.

I was actually gearing up for the final table, oh well, another chance tonight.

I had A7 SOOOOOOOOTED. It was folded around to me in the SB and i pushed fully believing that i had the best hand.

If i had been in your spot i would have folded and pushed all in my small blind and my button - your next two hands.

Great tournament, really enjoyed it. Finished at twenty to six, it was all over ten minutes later.

Casino's are a bit cagey about releasing the results because some players (a well known lawyer springs to mind) are very much opposed to their names being released. They dont want people to think they are "gamblers". I suspect that will change as poker becomes more mainstream. Antesup hopes to be publishing the winners from the bigger games around town but it requires the cooperation of the casinos. And some of them are not keen to play ball.
