Komplett Problem

I ordered a motherboard from komplett, 5 months down the road the motherboard one day just stopped working after changing the case.

Returning the motherboard to komplett was not a problem and they were happy to take a look at it, only they claim it is working. Its definately not as it has been tried in two different kits.

I also brought the motherboard to a friend for a second opinion and still no luck, the motherboard is definately not working.

I fitted everything into the new case as it was in the old one and plugged in all the pin connecters as per motherboard manual instructions, i power up the pc and everything comes on, all the fans, lights, dvd rom drives, hard disk and gfx card fan and power supply,

All parts were fully working before the move. However once in the new case and everything is powered up nothing comes up on the monitor, the motherboard is the EPoX EP-8KDA3J Mainboard for Socket 754, it has a diagnostic lcd on the motherboard which shows up as a C1 error, checking this in the manual shows that this is a memory issue, however the memory is perfect, iv checked on the net and this seems to be a common problem, that ppls similiar motherboard gives a c1 error when in fact it is not the memory.

    C1: Detect memory
    - Auto-detection of DRAM size, type and ECC.
    - Auto-detection of L2 cache (socket 7 or below)

(the above is exactely my problem to.)

I isolated the motherboard from the case using antistatic paper and restarted making sure nothing was touching the case and same problem again, c1 error (P.s my ram works in my mates pc and when i put his in mine it doesnt work) Everything is definately 100% connected up properly.

The motherboard is definately coming on as the diagnostic lights come on.

The reply that came back from komplett was that (i have to add they were very helpfull)

EPoX EP-8KDA3J, nF3 250Gb, S-754, AGP from RMA 700144031 tested ok. Started up without problems. Tested with PCmark and Burnintest. No errors found.

I have also tried different psu and tried using a newer one with more power. Iv individually tested each part in the pc and they all work. Anyone have the sligest idea?????
The motherboard i bought from you After working fine since i bought this from you as an upgrade that came with ram and a processor just stopped functioning
    the other night. The
motherboard has now stopped working, luckily i had a similiar rig and i have
tested all the other parts. I get a C1 ERROR, in the manual this points to amemory problem but i have tested all the ram in the p
c and it works. I went
along and researched the internet on the problem to find that this model of
epoxy boards has given other people similiar problems, i have attempted to
contact epoxy but have not been able to get in toiuch,m i was wondering howyou guys go about getting this problem fixed, will you
    arrange to get it
sent back to ye. As i said this is a definate fault as iv come accross
similiar issue's on google with the same board.

Possibly damage to one of the memory slots ? Kompletts testers would have probably used the very minimum configuration. Try just using one stick of ram and try each slot out and see if that helps, if you have the board back, if not maybe ask them to try it with the same memory configuration you would have had.
