    What about a Whammy?

does it work well for bass? its very expensive and only runs off AC 18V which is also a bitch any other ideas?

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

Dunno. Try it with bass. And it runs off 9V afaik.

Chorus is nice on bass if used properly. Flanger too?

no it does run off 18v ac almost certain.. my friend has one.. if not just ac 9v it still cant be run off the multi pedal power i have.. another guy i know bought a flanger and its a waste of money its only really good for guitar i dunno bout chorus.. its not very metal yaknow? are there any good sound enhancing pedals out there?

http://www.thomann.de/thoiw6_digitech_ps0920_netzteil_prodinfo.html 9 volt power supply, suitable for Whammy 4.

Anyway, I was thinking flanger on the bass intro for King Nothing and chorus for My Friend Of Misery. The only enhancement should be bass and amp. Get you to a guitar shop and try one of those boss setups, where they have all the pedals plugged in.

that adaptor doesn't power stompboxes tho which means that thats ac and pedals are dc... i guess i'll try out that boss stand thing next time im not in this hole of a town thanks again feylya

It's provides 9v DC. That is what the Whammy pedal requires. The reason you probably can't power it from your multi pedal power thing is cos it doesn't provide enough current. The whammy alone needs 1.3A

personally, why get pedals just to fill a gap, only get pedals that you need. Other wise it's just a waste of money. For 2 pedals you're talking around 200? Stock up on some good strings, upgrade your bass, anything.

The Decimator is a good investment.

Great reviews, check out Harmony Central inter alia.

synth is always great on bass or maybe flog the lot and get a multi effector

nah i'd never flog the lot im not fond of multi effects at all... synth is actually something ive thought about getting before.. only for the sawtooth setting tho not really into synth wah... might go for it... i dunno about the decimator... sometimes its good to have a bit of noise to compliment bass distortion and i never get feedback so i wouldn't get that

How about a tuner pedal? If youre looking to fill space, that should be handy.

Whammy power adapter is 9v AC~AC (not AC~DC) with a funny connecter and 1.3A current rating
