Matt Skelton's manager Eugene Maloney says the British heavyweight champion would reject any offer from Danny Williams to re-schedule their cancelled title clash.

Williams gave only 24 hours notice when he withdrew from his fight with Skelton in Bolton earlier this month, saying he was suffering from flu.

Skelton was furious that the fight did not go ahead and Maloney says he now has his sights set on bigger challenges.

"As far as I am concerned at this moment Danny Williams is not in our plans," Maloney said. "He had an opportunity and he didn't take it.

"Matt is looking for the European title or a world title now and by beating Danny it wouldn't put him anywhere closer to where he wants to be.

"Plus if we took the Williams fight again it would mean going into camp for another 14 weeks and who is to say the same thing wouldn't happen again? Matt cannot afford to take the risk."
