How much is this Small Form Format Shuttle System worth?

Thinking of selling a system but not sure how much I'd really ask for it.

What do you lot think?

CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2500+
(Easily Overclockable to a 3200+ with stock cooler and no overheating.)(They're the same chip so you just have to tell it to run at 3200 speeds in BIOS)

Ram: 1gb DDR PC3200 Ram
HDD: 60gb Hard Drive
GFX: NVIDIA 6800GT
Shuttle Case: SN45G
Sound: Audigy 2 ZS
DvD: Sony 8x DvD Writer +/-

Comes With: Shuttle Carry bag for mobility. Logitech MX700 and a pretty basic Compaq Keyboard.

It's a little beast of a machine and I was just wondering it's worth?

considering the audigy 2 and 6800 are both brand new id say he could easily get 650 for it. 6800 is the 256mb gddr3 version (i checked)

It's actually overclockable without any problems to a 3200!! so even more than the 3000 Jaggeh quoted but thanks. And the 6800 GT is 256 megs yeh so around 299 now or a bit more brand new. Also comes with the official shuttle carry bag so I'd be looking for around 700 considering it's worth just over a grand really. It's not a bad deal imo. People are aching for the 2500 chips since they were so Solid and good quality as they went to 3200 with no problems on a stock cooler ye know

Its not worth over a grand, it cost you over a grand new... Very different things..

It a 2500+ too, not a 3200+. It may be OCable to that but that irrelevent. You paid for a 2500+...

Not irrelevant IMO. I have a 2800+ that's at 3200+ speeds. I bought it with 200MHz ram, even though the chip has a FSB of 166MHz knowing that it was good for the overclock.

Its irrelevent in the fact that it is not worth the same as a 3200+ just because it can be overclocked to the same speed as a 3200..


My old 2.8 P4 overlocked to 3.4GHz on air and when I sold it, it was sold as a 2.8 and I would have been laughed at if I tried to get decent bit extra because it performs at the same level of a 3.4 P4.

I'm not trying to get more because it can be overclocked I'd be looking for 650-700 as it is. It's a small form monster

correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it potentially worth LESS because it's been overclocked ? Doesn't overclocking reduce the lifetime of the components, and therefore their value ?

it hasnt been overclocked, but that specific chip is supposedly the same as a 3200 only its been set lower?!?

Exactly. I haven't overclocked it once. It runs fantastically without having to do so but it's possible because it IS in fact a 3200 chip. AMD just set the clock speed down to 2500 so they can sell the same chips also at 3200 for more moneh
