       Hi,
Was wondering what games, if any, are people playing in the Fitzwilliam Festival. I am hoping to play Friday, Saturday and Sunday (bank balance permitting). My heart so wants to play the Omaha tournament on Sunday, but my head is telling me to stay away from it as the big players could be playing in it.??

I'm going to go up on Sunday and play the €30 with unlimited rebuys. Should be nuts. I'm gona play the €100+1R on Monday night as well.

My current plan is to play Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. I'd love to play Thursday as well, but I have a hurling championship match that evening, so that has to take priority. :(

Hopefully will play Sunday night, definitely play Monday. In Galway from this evening to Saturday, for any Galwegian the horsies always will take precendence over poker during one special week of the summer :)

I have always held that Ballinasloe should be cast out of county Galway to fend for itself, they are not true Galwegians! Just like in the States, the west coast is the best coast, everyone knows it's true...

Just another query on this thread to those who have/are going to divulge the games they intend playing. Why have you selected those particular games?

I'm assuming that you have a choice and aren't forced to take a particular night because of travel or other commitments.

Personally I decided to play 1 rebuy game and if I'm going to do that I play the one that I expect to have the biggest prize pool, hence Friday imho. Sunday is €30 unlimited rebuys but its clashing with the omaha..so it's hard to guage how big the pool will be plus the madness won't be in my favour as I like to go in ahead in multiway pots  Wednesday won't have the same numbers as Friday pure and simple.

Then I decided to play 1 bigger buy-in game with plenty of play in it and I think the Monday game will have the best structure to suit my style. Plus paying €500 into a big 150+ field tournament is too volatile for my pocket at the minute even being very generous to myself and saying I have a better than average chance (this isn't true unfortunately). Also having played the Monday game in the last festival, and going out 12th :(, I noticed a definite fatigue factor amongst those that were playing much to my advantage. And omaha hi isn't my game for $20 online so I won't be forking out €385 just yet :D

So what reasons do other people have? I think choosing your game is an important skill in poker and I'd like to hear other peoples views on how to select a game (assuming you have a choice that is!!.

Well I can only play Saturday to Monday because of work commitments and I'd be mad to put up such a big part of my BR on the bigger events.
