connection problem

I am trying to connect an ADSLmodem with wireless-g router.It is the Belkin f5d7632uk4.I have followed the installation procedures but cannot get a connection.The laptop is picking up the router ok.I think it has something to do with ip addresses, about which I know very little.I am on the Eircom home starter…

Find out the IP of the other router, which should be the ISP assigned IP. Apply this IP to the wireless router!
