    Hey!

Was planning on taking my girlfriend over to the Galway Bay Hotel for a weekend for her birthday... take her shopping, out for dinner, send her to the Health and Beauty spa in the hotel and all that... but its booked out for the weekend I want to take her... August 5th and 6th...

Does anyone know of some similar that I could take her?... nice city or big town, good shopping with a health and beauty spa (especially this!).... but not Waterford, Cork or Kilkenny... we live in Dublin...

    Cheers!

Radisson SAS - Galway is supposed to be great - friends stayed there recently and raved about the spa.

Radisson looks lovely... looks very expensive though... have sent them an email requesting a quote anyway... thanks for that!

    Osprey Hotel, Naas

Have stayed there once and it's an impressive place
Not too far to drive either

Also, there is a new hotel in Bunclody, Wexford that has a beauty Spa. It's in the northern side of Wexford county and is only hour and half from outskirts of Dublin as you pass through Carlow.
Small town though. Shopping might be a problem.
But you could send her into the spa and you could nip down the road to the Slaney and do a bit of fishing. Both winners.

Cheers... Naas might be alright, might look into that one...

Dont think I'll bother with Bunclody though... thanks anyway... fishing sounds good though!!

The Atlantic Coast or Wyatts in Westport are both lovely hotels. Try www.pigsback.com for special deals (although it's silly season & a lot of places will be charging full whack)

    Sound.

P.S ... As you live in Dublin, have you checked out cheap flights to Nottingham (East Midlands Airport) .

Nottingham sounds like just the sort of spot you are looking for ;) .....great town.
