I'm a 20 year old fella and about a year ago i got fed up of drinkin.
Been drinking since i was 12 and the hangovers just keep getting worse, i dont mind going out but when i do i get twisted(drink way too much way too fast).
the thing is i have a close group of friends ,4 or 5 usualy that drink constantly, friday saturday and sunday they were drinkin and so i was left alone with nothing to do all weekend. During the week everything is grand dont have a probem with my friends,except they find it so easy to dust me, not even been asked what im doing.
sometimes i feel like i should just leave, get a job in another country, a cruise ship would be nice ,anything.

i just wanted to get it off my chest

if ya have the money, will, mates and the time just go for it. Go with a positive attitude. My gf broke it off with me 2 weeks ago after a long term relationship. Im only 22, was in bits but im pondering on doin somethin b4 I head back to college...no point in moaping around, if ya have all of the above, go for it!! (with a smile on your face)

go out and don't drink...no matter what anyone says it is doable...u should contact your friends and ask them to do stuff...or maybe suggest not goin the pub

if they dust ya alot, then i wouldnt consider them REAL mates. Surely theres a mate out there...if not the perfect wat to meet new ppl is to f^ck off for a little while and broadin the mind

you are young, free and single (I presume)
there will never be an easier time to go explore the world, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain, do it!
