Ah, if you look up scanger, it is actually funny.
There's an in depth explanation of their origions etc, with a picture of some lads walking down henry street.

Typical modes of transporation include modified Opel Corsas that cost €100 modified with over €1000 worth of parts such as UV lights and "No Fear" stickers.

    Roffle :D

Where's the Wikipedia page for the D4s? There is a mention of them in the page on the Dublin 4 postcode, but no D4 specific page... :( There's a project for anyone who's really bored...

I'd say some smarmy wet-head wrote this because it is obviously very classist and ridiculing to be fit for an encyclopedia.

As someone said this is just what many of us know and think only it's written down. Is it just me or is it everytime someone find something funny it's the funniest thing they've ever seen heard? This exaggeration has certainly devalued the pretigious award of something being the best *insert what it might be* ever. I'm not just having a go at the OP just i could swear i saw a post claiming that some other thing was the funniest thing ever and again it was objective. I suppose it's just a phrase. ¬_¬

"A particular gait, often likened to the walk and bobbing head of a pigeon."

"Despite this apparent strong anti-British feeling, many follow the English Premier League"

Heh, excellent stuff. The pic is great.

    That's hilarious!

    I love this:

"There is difficulty in pronouncing vowel sounds such as the short 'o' sound of 'oh', often enunciated as 'ah', as in 'story' ('starry'). The flat 'u' sound of 'uh' also causes some difficulty: this is variously rendered as either a long and emphasised 'uuh' sound, or 'eh', as in the words 'bud' ('b-uhh-d'), 'journal' ('jernal'), and 'church' ('cherch')"

    Not sure about this though:

"common reading material may be tabloid newspapers, such as The Sun and The Daily Mirror. The Weekly Sport is also popular among the younger scanger males."

    Can scangers read?

    Great find though. :D

its almost as funny as someone pointing out the difference between black people and white people, someone making fun of george w bush or the crazy cúnting frog.
