Help needed , computer was playing up over the weekend and has converted 40gb of by Archos Jukebox Hard-Drive into .CHK files losing everything. I have been told that files haven't been lost but that ScanDisk( dont ask me how) has converted them to that format .

My question is how to I recover these files , I have been looking at CHK Identifer but that doesn't seem to fix it.

    Any ideas??????

Yeah it was connected to my back up computer because I was trying to re encode some music but then the computer frooze so rebooted and when I switched on the machine and connect the archos all the data was gone just one folder named found which has 36.5gb of data in it.

Yeah cheers , I running them now , 31% done but still the stuff doesnt look like it should . All the programme files seem to be all over the place and still no sign of the 6gb of music yet either. Fingers Crossed it will work
