slave hard drive

    i installed an old harddrive as a slave drive in my new computer both new and old harddrives ran xp. it recognises the harddrive i can even go into it and look through the folders but when i go to look in documents and settings and look in the folder where i stored everything it says access denied.
    Can anyone help, really need to get information off the harddrive.

    XP - so it's a windows question, right click, security etc.

    sorry i'm a bit slow tried that right click on it security and sharing highlighted all the necessary box's but i'm still getting the message access denied when i try to open the folder in my documents

    when you are in security click Advanced, in permissions tab, click on Add, once the menu pops up, click Advanced, then click Find now, choose your username, click OK, your username will appear, double click on it, tick all the boxes allow, then tick Replace permission entries on all child.......... and click ok

    should work now

    nope no joy,when i check the properties of the drive it say's theres 111 gig used so there is information there somewhere
