Right, i miss having an acoustic and soon i'm actually going to need one, so i want to buy one on a budget and i came across this Ibanez Tayman, it's only €250 and is supposed to be good value, particularly when hooked up to an amp, all reviews are good so i think i'll order one in a couple of weeks. Plus it's uber sexy!!!!

I know i'm not gonna get a master piece of a guitar but i reckon it'll do me, i may up my budget come a couple of weeks but for now this has my vote, any comments?

A new one is out of my price range for the minute, and when i buy the guitar above i'll be using a credit but maybe in the near future.

i like it!! very good value for money there..i'd go for it cos i don't think u'll get too much better for €250

Yeah that's what i was thinking, and lets face it, it is one SAWEET looking geetar indeed.

It's supposed to be guitar for 'electric players', as in players who rarely play acoustic(not me, i love acoustic), it's supposed to feel more like an electric, which is very appealing.

that is appealing..i don't really play acoustic because i just don't like the feel of them but i would try that one for sure...the preamp n the pup is also a nice feature

indeed, looking forward to getting my hands on it, i was only a click away from ordering it the other night, just ONE click:) But i don't really have the money at the moment:(

You should get more into playing acoustics man, they're brilliant, but if you play a horrible one then it just feels wrong, but a really high quality acoustic just feels and sounds incredible.

it does but i've always got **** to buy when it comes to electric...just never got round to em i suppose... i'd love the tom petty martin tho (thats lotto winnin stuff btw)...money is a whore

tell me about it, i couldn't even afford 250 for this acoustic:( But i do need one now, our singer gave me a disc of 20 songs he done with just vocals and acoustic, and it made me realise how much i enjoyed my old acoustic. I want to do a few acoustic gigs for the laugh.

i've played 1 or 2 acoustics and i have to say it does nothin for me love rockin an dweird sound has to be...i'd only really get an acoustic for the odd song or the be a mobile guitarist for house parties etc...or i could just use a micro cube :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,144 ✭✭✭LundiMardi

heh, i refuse to get a cube, it's cool to be the minority, that's why:)

There's just some things that aren't supposed to be played on an acoustic.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,144 ✭✭✭LundiMardi

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,968 ✭✭✭jcoote

I was looking on www.musicstore.de, the search is alot better than thomann, you can search by brand, so i went through each brand of acoustics looking for the cheaper ones and seeing if anything was worth buying. Searching on Thomann is impossible if you don't actuall know what you want.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,968 ✭✭✭jcoote

yeah thomann is a nightmare like that but i won't fault em cos everything except my wah and guitar are from them so..
