Ok current lappy is just not cutting it anymore and I have checked the funds and can afford a new one.

This one is one I have settled on. What do people think of the specs and does anyone actually own one and have an opinion on them?

Here are the specs for the lazy ones who won't click the link.

    1024 MB Ram

How much you buying that for?
Graphics card is a tad weak. Its alright, but is the 64mb version.
There is a wealth of reviews on the net of that model (example) have a look around first. Seems ok though :D

The NX8220 is an great laptop alright. Although I agree the video memory is not fantastic (as far as I know it's shared memory?). I spent weeks reviewing models before deciding to buy my first laptop 3 weeks ago. After trawling through hundreds of web pages and making dozens of phone calls, it was a toss-up between it and a Samsung X20. I eventually decided to go for the Samsung X20 (link )

One of the main reasons was that I could buy ex-vat from the uk with my VAT number. Worked out at €1465.00 all in. I must say it's one of the best pieces of technology I ever bought. Very pleased with it so far!
