Has the Dublin Wax Museum closed down?

I was reading in the Irish Times today about how the Punch and Judy show has to find a new home, but they didn't go into details on the closure of the Wax Museum.

It's a real shame, I loved the place and would visit at least 2 times a year...

Yeah, I heard the guy who owns the place is selling the site and opening a hotel somewhere else in Dublin. As far as I know, he'll be putting the wax museum in the basement of the hotel or something along those lines

Have they added anything to that place, since the early 90s?
I haven't been there in years but I remember, the newest thing was the Power Rangers and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Why did the Music Hall of Fame have Boy George in it?
    The Tunnels were cool, though.

It is meant to be re-opening in Smithfield soon.

The Wax Museum is currently relocating to Smithfield and will re-open in March 2006

I hope they don't make it too serious.

The best thing about the wax museum was how much fun it was. The tunnels were amazing...

Oh.. and Blisterman.. recent additions to the collection have included Mr. Freeze, Qui Gon Jinn, Darth Maul, Anakin and Harry Potter.

Oh... and I think Gerry Ryan was one of the most recent additions... if that kind of thing floats your boat... and I sincerely hope that it doesn't...

Well, seeing as I wasn't even aware that such a thing existed in Dublin, I'm not totally unsurprised it's closing down :)

    I stand corrected- Mr Freeze.

    Way to keep it comtemporary.
