While it's difficult to believe in angels
It's easy to believe the king is dead

Something a simple wordsmith should not understand
But as far as my vast intellect stretches, I know that
There's no union for presidents
And there's no union for beggars

They have an agenda, an enormous to-do list
(they being all that encompasses our lives)
They call it the peace process
Though, it seems something more of a peace protest.

It's like marking War and Peace with a Robert Crumb bookmark
But don't worry
This can't be a protest poem,
It doesn't rhyme.
