The apostrophe/ at symbol and colon/semi-colon keys are dead on my laptop. Had a look underneath them and gave it a gentle blow to get rid of any dust, but still no joy.

Can anything else be done ?

Google to find the Alt + numeric sequence for these keys and use that for a work-around. Or pick some other characters you don't use and set up macros so they give the required keys.

Have managed with the Windows XP virtual keyboard for the moment...a ****ing nuisance really. It's still under warranty, so time for a new keyboard methinks
