Im Looking for a new Bass amp at the moment and after trying out a load of em ive decided im def going to get an ashdown as in my opinion give a balls out tone and they seem to like 5 strings as much as they do 4, the only thing is that after looking around on the net for ages is there any online site that sells em as i dont live in dublin or cork and i dont want to have to go up there to find one then check if i have enough ect.

So does anyone know where i can find ashdown amps for sale online??

There's a few places in the instrument resources sticky who do them but, tbh, after shipping is factored in, it works out about the same as musicmaker in Dublin. Phone musicmaker and ask for the price of model you want, then expect to haggle down a cash deal.

i just bought the ashdown mag300 410 from musicmaker for €569 plus he threw in a new lead for me about a month ago. The same amp was €682 at www.soundslive.co.uk plus shipping.
I also have the added comfort of knowing if a speaker blows, you just have a short drive in to get it replaced as it would cost a fortune to send back to the uk.
If your not from dublin, i'd take some day to drive up and get it. Also, If its the 410, the box is huge so make sure you've enough space.
    Cheers.

They seem like pretty solid amps.. Very nice sounding. Some have octave generators too which are dead hip.

So Ashdowns would be the ones to go for for really low bass?

Haven't you already asked this question? Repeatedly? And was it not answered?

If you want opinions, take a day and go to Dublin to form your own. If you want "really low bass", 15" speaker and about 300Ws.

What if only one or two people have the answer? As Feylya says, the only person who really knows what you want is you and you're not going to find out what you want to know on a web forum. you need to try out amps yourself. Any bass amp worth a **** can put out really low lows, only you can decide whether you like the sound or not.

Ok I am trying to organise for myself to get to dublins soon to try out bass's and amps.thanks for your help.Hey Feylya does it make much off a difference to the sound if the wattage is higher? I thought it should be pretty much the same as a lower rated amp but louder?

More head room. The sound will stay clearer for longer. Just remember this:

Double the wattage does NOT mean double the loudness. Ever.
