When to apply for a maintenance grant?

    I'm a mature student this year and it is my first time applying for a grant, when should I apply and where to? Thanks.

    If you're doing a course in an IT you should apply to your local VEC, if you're doing a course in a university, you should apply to your co. council. (I think!)
    The closing date for receipt of applications is the end of Aug. You have to give in documents like p60s etc. so get your application form asap. The sooner, the better :)

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me?
