printing memorial cards

    how do i go about getting design software, printers and elaminators for making memorial cards? anyone know?

    Design Software - what are you familiar with? Use that.... If you aren't familiar with any package you should be using Photoshop.

    Printer - I would recommend you giving the EPson, Canon and Mistubishi sites a visit and get in contact with them for a recommendation.

    Laminators - Any office supplies place will have laminators.

    Are you planning on starting a business doing this. If so, I would recommend against it. Virtually every print business in Ireland will do up memorial cards and JJ Lawlor is the specialist in this market and does the lions share of business in Dublin for sure.

    Your cost per card doing it yourself will be way higher than a traditional print shop that has made investment of many 100's of thousands of Euro in professional equipment that can print everything from flyers to business cards.

    You also have budget players getting into the game. I'm sure Reads would print the cards pretty cheap if you were on a budget, for example. Probably not the best finishers, but there are other digital operators who would do a decent job and charge very little.
