I know i have nothing to do with this thread but id just like everyone to know that i passed my Mech Eng exams this year who hoooo !!

(Last year i had 2 repeats) who hooooo !!!

is "design automation", microelectronic design automation, as in UE3005 in ucc? You think thatwas the most soul-destroying subject to study ever... until you do its partner in crime Microelectronic System Design in 4th year and it nearly kills you.

No thats me! I repeated 7 exams in my four years of engineering in UCD. Just out of interest I'm wondering if anyone posting here had more?

i have to repeat one exam next thursday week. fecking business, management and finance! i do well in all my 'proper' exams (i do electronic eng) but i have to do this piece of crap again! :mad:

you would be surprised what comes in handy when you are working. seriously i have done some god awful subjects in the last three years but they are all being referenced now that i am on work experience. failing stats and being terrified of fourier have really helped, made me work damn hard at them and now i use them both every day!

1st year failed 7 of 8 Repeats failed 4 0f 7
Repeat 1st year failed 5 of 8 Passed Repeats
2nd year failed 4 of 9 Passed Repeats
3rd year failed 3 of 10 Passed Repeats
4the year passed 11 2.2 for my troubles

So total fail was 23 exams

First year of general engineering in nuig failed maths but didnt have to repeat exam, second year failed manual drawing but marks in CAD were included so passed that, this year failed three subjects which would normally have to repeated but since i'm on placement i can't fail more than two subjects due to a new rule, so gotta repeat year but all subjects in 1st semester so just until December. Also I got honours grades in 1st and 2nd year but because i failed a subject i was only given a pass.
