But I cant ask "is X any good for hosting?" there can I? After reading http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=279680 I dont think its allowed.

Bit of a taboo subject on boards I'm afraid. We used to have a dedicated webhosting forum but most of them acted like complete children and we decided that we don't need the headache. There might be forums on other websites that cater for your needs.
