Oasis tribute

Hi there,

Was wondering if any1 is interested in starting up an Oasis tribute band...

Saw their gig at the weekend and it was amazin.

I play guitar myself and can sing too. Looking for any1 out there who might be interested in even starting up a few jamming sessions (maybe acoustically) just to see how things go.

I'm 23 and based in South Dublin.

I'm a drummer, wouldn't mind jamming oasis a bit for a laugh. Also south dublin. 19. Already have a few commitments tho

Well I pm'd on behalf of someone else, and he doesn't mind girls in the band, so i dont think you'll need to look like anyone...

That doesn't matter, a good wig and similar clothes can make all the difference. Take a look at www.classicbeatles.com, those guys don't look anything like the beatles in real life but they put on a believeable show.

it doesnt matter if u look like the band members or not... its about recreating the music as best we can. after all if its a toss up between a female drummer and a male drummer... i'd easily chose the female if she's the better musician.

its not stars in your eyes, or a look-a-likes competition

I play guitar (kind of) and sing (kind of) and reckon i could manage a few oasis bass lines

I think it is in the charter somewhere that if anyone mentions Oasis in any thread in any context, then someone is obliged to pipe in with a negative remark about them (the more irrelevant and least helpful to the subject being discussed, the better - and remember, knocking Oasis does not require you to offer any alternative, people will hold you in awe for your ground-breaking position).
