Non marking soles

This may seem a bit silly. I have started playing again at a new club and I am using a pair of Reebok tennis shoes with non marking soles. The soles are black. the club rules stipulate that balck soles can't be worn, but these are non marking. Has anyone else come across this issue?

What surface are you playing on? I dont see a problem with marking on omnicourt surface for example. If indeed the shoes are non marking I dont see a problem. Ask them to prove that they do mark the courts if they kick up a fuss :p

Whats the exact spec of the shoes so I can look em up?

most tennis runners (even expensive kswiss) can have black soles but non marking. most people i see on court have black soles. dont worry about it.

Most runners don't have marking soles. Only El'cheapo ones do.

I played at the club for the first time last night. The club has a strict enough dress code - which was totally ignored by the vast majority of members- bermuda shorts, trousers, combats, flip flops the lot and there I was worrying about a proper pair of runners.
