Will give it a go then... anything's better than having Spybot, AdAware, Microsoft AntiSpyware and HijackThis run every couple of days!

Please do and report back your findings :)

Note: my post might have been misleading in the way that it is not original software. It's just a fully automated process using the best of breed up to date packages out there

or OS X, less messing around than linux!

Ive found MS Antispyware to be pretty good, one of the better pieces of software they have written.

Announcement: Microsoft Acquires Anti-spyware Leader Giant Company Software Inc.
    http://www.giantcompany.com/default.htm

Like most of thier "innovations" it was bought in or the company acquired or in the case of windows the people who had developed a similar system were bought in.

    Technology developed externally includes ...
    DOS (Qdos)
    Terminal services
    Vmware
    Doublespace
    Backup for Windows 3.11 , Windows 95, 2000

Genuine useful microsoft innovations that have been copied by other companies (excluding licencing gotcha's)
    are there any ??

Yes, but that hardware for that OS is VERY expensive

Stay away from the MS product, the only bad spyware apparently is from companies they dont own.

    It wasn't a bad product....shame.

well the rumour mill suggests it may run on x86 soon and besides the CAL's are a lot cheaper when you start networking them
