right this will probable come across as a bit of a strange one... either that or normal situ.

i seem to have a bit of a hangup in relation to condoms... i will always use them, however i get v anxious after sex as im nervous that they may not have worked. I dont want to take the pill at the moment, granted i know it would probable ease my anxiety but i have my own reasons. condom has split before but everything was alright, as in nothing had happened if u get my drift.. anyway... i just seem to have a bit of a hangup. that i wish i didnt have anymore, and i could just enjoy myself as it s playing on my mind..... fellas knows how to use condoms, however i just dont seem to be able to relax after...

then check the condom, or refrain from vaginal sex.

the only way to stop being stressed about it, is to make sure.
    that means checking, or abstaining.

Try using spermicides and diaphragm aswell as the condom, to ease your mind.

    Otherwise consider Depo provera: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depo_Provera

Go to your local Family Planning Centre, there's one just off O'Connell St, on Cathal Brugha St. to discuss/get prescribed and alay your fears.

Try the coil. It will stop the pregnancy worry at least and see how that’s goes. Otherwise you could talk to someone about it. Try the well woman centre.

Durex do a condom called Safex I believe. They are covered in a spermicidal lubricant which kills sperm. They are also thicker than the average profilactic. Or do as the other posters said, seek professional advice.

i believe that doctors only prescribe the coil after you have had a child.very wary if u havent.

I'm curious as to the reasons you don't want to take the pill. I think it would make you feel a lot better - if nothing else it would help put an end to the worrying? It's either that or abstinence! ;)

if you don't want to use the pill, then i wouldn't have sex tbh, the risk is too great. Why don't you want to?

If it is that much of a hangup, you are not enjoying the sex, am I right? Don't have it. Wait until you are ready to take responsability incase things do go wrong. If you feel you need to have sex to keep a partner, explain it to them and replace it with toys etc. Can be just as much fun for both.
