is this possible by FTPing accross and pulling the file accress the usual way same as if it were on the E drive

Sorry AMP if this is not suitable please delete

You could put it into your PC DVD drive and copy from there.

the best way is to transfer all the files across and create an iso using quix101 (a guide for this is avaiable on xbox-scene.org). optimise the new iso and burn it to a dvd at 2x speed (or slowest possible).

make sure you use a compatable media, philips dvd-r are pretty good and have never failed for me and my xbox is uncompatible with all other media.

    hope this helps

cheers folks got it sorted I was trying to update dvd2xbox and failing so I had some media on the xbox which was not compatible therefore I ftp the lot to PC created the dvd and works fine
Found a few tips on the web abour changing settings for some of the newer media to boot and this worked a treat

"Jus sorted out the problem i disabled the in game resets (IGR) in the Xbios menu and its all sorted role on san andreas........

I just disabled TSR (In the system settings menu) and In Game Resets. Didn't need to change video mode, just left it on auto.

MAKE SURE YOU REBOOT YOUR XBOX AFTER YOU HAVE MADE THESE CHANGES!! THAT WAS MY MISTAKE!!

I just change the TSR setting to DEBUG in the system settings menu (EVO X) - notjing else and hey presto! (only did it yesterday)
