Overtime

    Here anyone know the rules and regulations or a website you can refer me to where i can sort out what the story is with overtime i am working 60 hour weeks but am not getting over time am being paid threw the books and all none of this cash in hand stuff.

    Please help

    you'll have to check your contract. They could have a no over time clause in your contract. That said did you sign an opt out contract regards the EU max 48 hour week. All companies are I think statutorally obliged to offer their employees the "choice" (not much of a choice in most cases).

    Like vorbis said - they dopn't have to pay you overtime if it is not in contract

    is there not some form of standard? There is nothing in the contract about paying me or not paying me.
