Problem shutting down laptop

    Hi all

I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L running Windows XP. In the past few months, a fault has occured when shutting down. Basically, it fails to shutdown on the first go (using Start, Shutdown etc.). There is a 'hum' or a 'buzz' when it tries to shutdown, and then nothing. Once you do it the second time, it works fine. I have tried Google, and MS Knowledge base etc. but can't come up with anything. Also had the motherboard replaced (for another problem) recently, and thought this would sort it, but no dice.

    Any ideas?
