    Was there last year.

Good laugh i went with the girlfriend late in september, You should go in august or earlier september. If your after sun booze and women youll have a blast.
It has nice beaches on the other side of the island you can rent a moped(learner license will do )

But kos town beaches are just ok.

Food is cheap we eat out every night. Booze is cheap as well as smokes.

Do the diving its brilliant crack

and go to bodrum(turkey) for a day thats was good fun getting into arguments with the shop owners.

    have fun

Just back from Honeymoon there so I don't know what it's like for 20/21 yo lads, but Kos town seems fairly lively, loads of bars along the waterfront.
Kos is full of rent a scooter shops so there are lods of ways to get around the island, which is fairly small.
As the other poster said go to Bodrum also, just 30min from Kos town.

i went there with boyfriend two years ago for a week and we had a great time. kos town is really nice and there is a street with lots of loud bars and clubs called bar street (original i know!)
there's a lovely marina and lots of nice restaurants. beaches at kos town werent great but there is fab beach at tingaki about 10 or 15 mins away. absolutely gorgeous.
everyone there goes around on push bikes believe it or no! and they are very cheap to rent about e2 a day. less if u rent them for longer.

depends really on how mad a holiday you are going for. to be honest we found bar street a wee bit loud for out liking so we went to bars a bit away.

was in crete last year and didnt think much of it. kos is far nicer.

Would there be much Irish around Kos Town? I'm looking up on the net, doesn't look like much Irish go to Kos. Kardamena is a big brit fest anyway from what I can gather. It also seems to be mainly couples goin? Can anyone tell me differently?

prob would be mainly couples but there were a good few irish people around. there lots and lots of scandavian. if you're a gang of lads on the pull, the women are very beautiful, tanned, skinny and blonde girls everywhere- scandanavian. and that's from a girls perspective. (i'm sure my boyfriend would agree!)

can't say i noticed it being very englishy but were only there for a week.
