downloiading files using firefox

    is there away of pausing the download and shutting down the computer and resuming the download at a later stage
    i have noticed tat watever way my settings are configured, i must download the file in one go
    is there a way around this inconvenience?

    It really depends on the server from which you are downloading from.

    A dedicated downloader such as Flashget is a far better program than what Firefox has.

    Download it now!

    I find that the 'Pause Download' button in FireFox never works for me. If you pause it, it never resumes properly.

    dont use the firefox download manager for large files. use getright

    Download Flashget and a Firefox plugin called "Flashgot".

    Seamless integration will then be provided between Firefox and Flashget!!!

    All download worries will then be over.

    I only use the regisatered version.
    Never knew there were lots of popups.
    Flashgot will work with other downloaders I think as well...give it a go and configure it for your needs "synchro".

    Thats why i use opera you can stop it and restart it the next day from the same place again.
