Out of Station on to Main Street , turn right and keep walking on out over the bridge. It's at least a mile up the road out of the village and the road is dangerous in spots. The castle is on the left. Better to get the 42 bus from town . It stops much closer. There is also a bus stop at the station so if you're lucky you can get the bus to it.

Actually, the easiest way to do it is to leave the Dart station, take a right and go over the bridge then once immediately over the bridge, go through the gates into the Castle Demense and walk directly South through the GAA pitch, then follow the path that goes from the top of the pitch through the woods, past the kids playground, and you'll come out at the castle! It's only about a 10 minute walk from the station.

I haven't been in Malahide castle in ages. I remember in the playground area, they had this big baloon thing that you could ride along a rope from one end to the other. quite an expereince it was. the model railway musuem was very boring. i don't think i've even been insdie the actual castle. i shall return to there soon.
