Installing a new stairs

    Hi All,

I am replacing my existing stairs with a new stairs as part of a renovation. Its an old 2-up 2-down and the existing stairs are steep enough. I am going to go for the configurable "Kompact" stairs. Has anyone had any experience with these?

Also, the landing has existing dark wooden floorboards, the stairs themselves are light wooden beech steps and are not suitable for carpeting. Obviously the stairs wont match the landing in this case..how do I hide this? Just carpet the landing?

    thanks.
